FINAL GRADE BREAKDOWN

  • Grade from Internship Supervisor: 50%
  • Internship Report: 20%
  • Questions to Ask Business Host: 5%
  • Pictures: 5%
  • Daily Blogging: 20%

REMOVAL FROM INTERNSHIP

Any student who is removed from the internship program by the AOIT Co-Directors, who does not complete the internship program, or has excessive absences shall fail this course with a grade of no higher than 50% (since that student will not be allowed to turn in the report or presentation).

EXCESSIVE ABSENCES

A student shall fail from excessive absences if that student is absent for more than 16 hours (equivalent of 2 eight hour days):

  • with no prior notification to the work supervisor and the school supervisor or
  • with prior notification to the work supervisor and the school supervisor but with an unapproved excuse or
  • with prior notification to the work supervisor and the school supervisor and with an approved excuse but without making up that time within 10 work days of the planned end of the internship.
