Paul Darby, Instructor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Ph.D candidate at the Center for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, spoke to the A+/NETWORK+ Certification Preparation class about grid computing. The class brainstormed about a potential project involved building a low-level supercomputer from recycled computers connected across a grid and using special administration software which would make them act as one computer.
